Family Tree Learning Centre is privately owned and operated by the Smith and Spinks families. Ineke Smith is the Director and has worked in the Early Childhood field for over 14 years. The centre is conveniently located at Bateau Bay amongst a friendly neighbourhood with a bus stop at the door.
We offer quality care and education for children aged 2-6 years with highly qualified and experienced staff who provide a curriculum based program and school readiness program. We operate Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm, 50 weeks of the year with the exception of public holidays and are licensed for 59 children a day in 3 main play room areas: 2-3 years, 3-4 years and 4-5 years.
Our daily fee is $56 a day and we have an annual enrolment fee of $30 for one child or $40 for 2 or more children. CCB rebate is available upon enrolment.
At Family Tree Learning Centre your child's unique potential will be encouraged and supported within our educational, caring and fun environment. The experiences and equipment offered encourage the children to explore skills needed for school whilst our program aids in instilling a love of learning whilst boosting their confidence. Our play experiences are provided through child focused Learning Centres both indoors and outdoors. These areas offer a wide variety of materials and equipment that encourage free choice, resulting in a familiar and stable environment. Our play space incorporates areas for active, free, quiet, social, imaginative, creative, exploratory and natural play.
Our program will:
* promote children's positive self esteem and the confidence to face new challenges;
* focus on process not product - children who experience success develop a love of learning;
* encourage children to use their imagination and creativity;
*encourage children to be appropriately assertive; to assist children to become effective communicators and encourage children to express their ideas and opinions and to listen respectfully to those of their peers;
* promote an appreciation of literacy - pre writing and pre reading skills are supported at the child's level of interest and ability;
* promote an understanding of numeric concepts.
Each child is valued and respected for who they are, and staff recognise the unique abilities of each child regardless of individual and additional needs. Staff become familiar with all children, respect different temperaments, family and cultural needs and wishes by interacting with both the child and family. We promote cultural diversity through our environment, curriculum and learning experiences, music and language groups.
Staff help children connect with nature and work towards helping the centre become more environmentally sustainable by incorporating environmental education and practices with play based learning experiences.
We thank you for your interest in our centre. For further information please give us a call and we will be happy to discuss your individual requirements. We look forward to meeting you and your child!
