Hunter Home and Natural Birth Support (Maternity Coalition Hunter Branch) is a volunteer non profit community group.
INTENT: To promote choice and control in all aspects of birthing, empowering women, partners and families to experience a positive, beautiful birth thus creating the optimum chance of better bonding, breastfeeding and parenting.
We provide objective information and a supportive group for women who desire and/or are considering a homebirth or natural birth and parenting.
Empowering women to make decisions about and take responsibility for, the health and welfare of their bodies and babies.
Hunter Home and Natural Birth Support is active in advocating for increased choices in childbirth and in improving services for pregnant women and mothers. We hold monthly daytime meetings usually on a Friday at a member's home – these are informal gatherings where we share information, hear birth stories and have access to our library of books.
