Social Connections 2261 is for parents of children 0-12 years who live in 2261 post code area.
Social Connections 2261 offers a range of free courses and workshops to help expectant and other parents and carers develop their parenting skills and to get information about local services and resources for parents and children.
Social Connections 2261 also provides opportunities for parents to meet other parents/carers who have young children and live in the local area (2261 postcode area).
The activities change each term and are provided in a range of community venues across the 2261 area.
They include:
• One off workshops that look at parenting issues such as: sibling rivalry, behaviour management or bringing up toddlers.
• Four to six week courses and groups. These may be for new or expectant mums, on self esteem, calming your inner voice, self care, relationships, post natal depression, foster carers support. We also run dads groups.
• Interactive workshops for adults and children. For example ‘Singing, percussion and dance’ and Hope and Move (toddler gym) involve both parents and children, learning new skills and playing together.
All activities are FREE & limited child care is available – however bookings are essential.
